Last Tuesday of the CSA season… It was a full box!
Hakurei Turnips
Lettuce
Sweet Potatoes
Beets
a Turnip
Bok Choy
Spinach
Carrots
and a
Napa Cabbage
(from the ‘sharing box’)
Napa cabbage will go well with the last of the summer tomatoes that have been ripening on my table. The bok choy and a few of the hakurei turnips and carrots will go into a nice stir-fry. The other roots will safely await use in the drawer at the bottom of my fridge. I was excited to finally see some spinach, and I’m also glad there’s some lettuce for (probably) a last salad of the year.
Next week, I’ll share some thoughts on CSA. It’s been pretty good for me this year, but there are some reasons it may not be right for everyone.
